Help! Subscribe to Ipsy

Hello darlings–

I somehow cancelled my IPSY subscription and am now back on the wait list. Help me get off this list but subscribing. If you are on the fence, keep in mind that June’s bag will contain one of three gorgeous colors of NYX butter glosses 🙂

MAY Sub Boxes: Come to Momma! {Coupon Code}

Hello darlings ❤

Which subscription boxes are YOU most excited about this month?

I am pretty pumped about the two following boxes…

Treatsie

  • 3-4 artisan treats ($15/month plus $4.95 shipping)
  • I found a coupon code (FIRSTBOX44) and just paid shipping. Don’t miss out!

Beauty Box 5

  • 5 deluxe beauty samples ($12/month)
  • I got my first box free from a Facebook offer that is now expired. I hope you snagged it, too!

Ipsy Bag Review: April 2014

20140414-171715.jpg

Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm — This lip balm was just ok. I was surprised of the intense pigmentation…but it set looking kind of chalky. At least it came with a little lip brush 🙂

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil Travel Size — This eye pencil is perfection. Super smooth application! I got a nice basic black, which is great because I just purchased the eggplant version.

dr. brandt® microdermabrasion — This felt soo good on my skin. I have very sensitive skin, and I was impressed that it didn’t leave me red!

Elizabeth Mott pop! goes the shadow — This beautiful, creamy champagne shadow has quickly become a staple in my makeup bag. I was sad to see that the website only had a few other products. I hope to see more soon.

St. Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Anti-Aging Multi-Action Face — I’ll have to report back on this one, but I am thrilled to try this brand.

Dang, ipsy! You spoiled me this month. I am beyond happy with the high quality products I received this month (Cailyn lip balm aside). I love this graphic purple bag. I plan to use it to keep my cords and smaller electronics in one place in my big ol’ purse. And, as always, there were fantastic coupon codes for all of the featured April products — including Coastal Scents!

That means that you could get this little beauty for only $15!

There is also an Earth Day Sale this week offering 35% OFF All Natural Products 🙂

Goal: No Peeking!

In theory, part of the allure of subscription boxes is the SURPRISE factor. I am a notorious surprise spoiler (for myself only, not others!), and this is far too easy with all of the spoilers on facebook, instagram and beauty blogs. I have already stumbled upon a total reveal of this month’s PopSugar Must Have box (dang it!)– but I am determined to shield myself from learning about my exact Ipsy and Birchbox until I have these in my hands. Wish me luck!

What’s your favorite subscription of the moment??

Ipsy Glam Bag Review: March 2014

86b8d6c4b13411e3b14a12e478479d96_5

This was my third Ipsy bag…and it left me hooked as a subbie! Although this wasn’t my favorite bag from Ipsy, I was not disappointed. I mean, only $10 per month? Don’t mind if I do…

NYX Love in Rio Trio in Bikini Bottom– I was excited to get this trio because I have recently been loving NYX. I thought about getting one of the Love in Paris palettes, but there were just too many options. This trio offers soft, buildable shimmer. This trio will be a summer day-to-night staple!

Pixi Beauty Flawless Primer– I like the texture of this primer. It didn’t bother my sensitive skin, but it felt like just another step in my routine. I prefer to use a BB or CC cream, rather than primer plus foundation.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready– I love this smooth, natural pinky color. The sample was a nice size and fits great into any clutch. I didn’t feel like a giant trying to put on a Barbie lipstick 🙂

Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner– I have really been getting into felt tip liners. I love the color, but it is currently not for every day. I have light green eyes, so I wonder if this blue would work better with dark eyes.

Bag by Klari (San Fran artist)– Major kudos to Ipsy supporting local artists, but I ended up selling this one on eBay. I have found that the top zipper Ipsy bags are more durable, rather than this front facing zipper.
